Hi all,

First off, great meet tonight.  It ran smoothly and we were out by 9, which is nothing short of a miracle with that many kids!

I do want to say that it is a little frusterating to see very few sign ups for the 2nd shift tonight.  We had all the 2nd shift timers but then very few sign ups for any of the other positions.  We end up having to pull people who have already volunteered or who are in charge of overall planning.  That should not be happening when we have over 130 kids swimming at a meet.  Please remember that you are required to work 2 shifts for anyone 7+ and 1 shift for the 5&6 year old parents.  We have 3 meets left!

As for practice, I am not sure that Briarwood will be open tomorrow.  I heard from the Parks and Rec director tonight that the pool did not pass inspection (not for the pool, but the automatic sinks in the womens bathroom weren't working).  They fixed everything this afternoon and are just waiting on another inspector to come out.  As long as it passes, we can potentially have swim practice there tomorrow.  If not, Marist and the city have agreed to let us use that pool again on Wednesday and Thursday.  Again, our preference is to practice at Briarwood.  But if it is not ready, we will be back at Marist.  If we have not heard by 3pm tomorrow, I will send an email letting everyone know.
