Hi all,

Real quick, we have our guppy meet for the 5/6 year olds on Saturday.  It should be a lot of fun for those kids.  It will be from 9-11 (or whenever they finish).  We WILL NOT have the concession stand open so please bring water and snacks for your kids.

Our next dual meet is against our neighbor Roxboro Valley Pool.  I will send details to those who are signed up on Monday.  On that note, do not forget to sign up if your child plans to swim.  This is the 4th meet so we should all be used to the process.  Registration will close at midnight on Saturday evening so that the coaches can work on the lineup on Sunday.  

As for our last meet against Riverside/North Harbour, I felt it was a great meet.  Everyone seemed to have fun and the way their pool was set up allowed for a lot of good cheering.  It was fun to see kids screaming for their teammates!  That said, we did lose 438-355.  This is actually a fairly close score for a dual meet and we put up a bunch of points but did not have the swimmers down the stretch to stay up with them.  I do feel like we would have either won or been very close if we didn't have 11 swimmers pull out of the meet after the coaches had completed the lineup.  Coach Kate and Coach Anna had spent 4+ hours on Sunday putting everything together and then the scratch emails started rolling in.  They spent a couple of hours on Monday trying to fix the lineup as best they could but it really makes it hard to get our fastest kids in the correct relays once you start moving things around that much.  For the next 2 meets, please try to do everything you can to get your children to the meet if you mark them able to attend.  I did want to share some highlights from the meet.  We improved on 41.58% of our times!  We had 6 swimmers score over 10 points for us!  Way to go Connor Obser (20), Charlotte Miller(15), Hadley Shilling(13), Reece Underwood(11), Frances Halpin(10), and Abby Holcombe(10) for racking up those points for us.
