    Weather Info

Just a heads up that we are monitoring the weather and will let everyone know if it will affect practice.  I did think this was a good time for me to let everyone know how the weather policy works.

If the lifeguards see lightning or hear thunder, they will shut the pool down for 30 minutes.  If the weather looks like it will move through, we will cancel the practice that falls during that 30 minutes and then resume practice with the group that is up when that 30 minutes expires.  For example, if it thunders at 5:30, the 5:30 practice will be cancelled and we will resume with the 6:00 practice if there is no other thunder.  If it looks like there are just numerous storms coming throughout the afternoon and into the evening, we might cancel the entire practice.  Our goal is to get as many practice sessions in safely.

We will send an email and an alert out if practice is being canceled.  If you do not get this, please assume practice is on.  Thanks!
