Parents,

I have some bad news.  The City has had some trouble opening up both Murphey Candler and Briarwood pools this summer.  We have been working with them since early March to do our part but since they switched pool management companies in April with final approval not coming until May 6, they simply were not able to get the pools ready.  We are now in a holding pattern until the Dekalb Board of Health can inspect the pool and open it.  That inspection is scheduled for Thursday morning.  Brian Borden, the Parks and Rec director, is working to get that moved up.  The moment it passes inspection, we will be allowed to practice.  The bad news is I do not see any way for that to happen by Monday.  We also do not have a back-up pool at this point so we are at the mercy of them opening Briarwood. There will be no practice on Monday.  I will provide updates as soon as I know them.  Hopefully we can resume practice by Wednesday.  Thank you for your patience here!
