Hi all,

I wanted to share a few important things coming up:

1.  No practice on Monday!!!

2.  This is your first reminder to sign up for the meet on Tuesday.  To do this, you will go to https://briarwoodbarracudas.swimtopia.com/ and click on schedule.  Select the correct meet vs Mountaire and select click on the meet entry tab to register your child and the job sign up to register yourself to volunteer.   It is virtual once again and will be at Briarwood.  I have requested the pool stay open until 9 so we can ensure the we finish the meet.  It will still be slightly chaotic (as they all are) but we are making improvements to help speed up the flow and reduce the chaos!

3.  The GRPA district meet (the one that is not part of ASA but is with the City of Brookhaven.  There are fees but the city is covering those for any interested swimmer) has been moved from June 19th to July 9th and 10th.  It will still be at Briarwood Park.  This is probably a good thing as there was about to be 4 meets in 1 week which is never a good idea (ha).  We will have details on registering in the next couple of weeks for those who are interested.

4.  Morning practices are scheduled to start this coming Wednesday and Friday.  This will give us 2 additional swimming opportunities for our athletes!  It will be reserved for swimmers who are 7 and up.  We plan to cap these at 40 swimmers per session.  There will be a 10AM session and a 10:45 session.  We will send out a SUG for each practice.  Please do not feel pressure to make these practices.  The idea for these was to provide a couple more days for kids who were having trouble getting to the afternoon practices or for any kids who were wanting to really improve and get 2 practices in 1 day. This will also spread out our practices a little more so they will not be so crowded.
